PRACTICE AREAS
PURCHASES
We work to ensure that your home or land purchase makes it to the closing table as smoothly as possible. If problems arise during the course of a purchase, we act as your advisor to help navigate through title or permitting issues, property inspection negotiations, and difficult lender requirements. While we work collaboratively with all parties involved to help close the deal, we always advocate on your behalf to protect your interests.
SALES
Our aim is to make selling your home as stress-free as possible. We draft all necessary transfer documents, diligently cure title issues, and work to resolve issues that arise during the course of the transaction. In most cases, we're able to draft documents that allow you to close remotely and arrange for you to receive your sale proceeds quickly and securely.
LITIGATION
Attorney Rogers has represented clients in criminal, civil, and probate courts across Vermont. He has tried cases in front of juries and judges, litigated cases in courts and administrative agencies, and has successfully appealed a matter before the Vermont Supreme Court.
KEVIN ROGERS, ESQ.
Kevin is a native of West Virginia. He graduated from Shepherd University with a B.A. in Political Science in 2010, and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2014.
In 2016, Kevin moved to Vermont with his wife, Kathryn. They moved into a primitive cabin in Newfane, where they spent the next few years as property caretakers while Kevin became licensed to practice law in the State of Vermont.
In December 2017, Kevin began practicing law at a law firm in Brattleboro, where he worked until December 2021. He considers himself to be a country lawyer, and therefore has a very diverse practice of law, but his main focus is real estate and criminal defense.
Kevin serves as the Windham County chair of the Vermont Bar Foundation, and is on the board of the Grace Cottage Foundation.
Kevin spends most of his free time doing work around the house, tending to the gardens and land, spending time with his family, and golfing.
